We are a community of 330 pupils aged 11 to 18 and of above average ability, 30 teachers, 20 ancillary staff and one Head all enjoying teaching and learning and making both as successful as possible. There are roughly equal numbers of both sexes amongst the pupils and staff. We are a busy; purposeful school and everyone has to be involved.
The teaching staff are all well qualified, experienced and enthusiastic specialists in their subjects but aware of the contribution they make to the general education provided. Parents too play their part in school, meeting as a Parents’ Association each term, arranging social functions and providing refreshments and support at school events. Each family receives a monthly newsletter so that everyone knows what is happening and what has been achieved.
